As far as I can think back, music and audio production have been the center of my interest. Growing up in Hamburg, Germany, I started playing classical guitar in second grade. When I was ten I founded a band with friends and picked up the electric bass. Soon I started recording ourselves. My passion for audio and sound was lit. At age 16, I started taking piano lessons and discovered my passion for classical music. Since then, I have played in numerous bands, sang in several choirs, played bass in a big band and jazz combos, and recorded and produced countless projects. In 2011 I moved to the US to study at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. After graduating with a degree in Recording Arts in the Summer of 2015, I moved to sunny Los Angeles to start an internship with producer Warren Huart. On an extension of my student visa I worked my way to an engineering position at Warren's Spitfire Studio, while working for classical recording artist Benjamin Maas (Fifth Circle Audio) on the side. But I was not able to get a work visa in order to stay in the US permanently and had to return to Germany in November of 2016. Since 2017 I live and work in Berlin.
During my time at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music I conducted a research project about Convolution Reverb, during which I sampled a lot of great spaces. Check it out and download the sample library HERE.
